Recently, I was driving within the Lagos metropolis and I heard the guys at Rythm 93.7 announce the nominees for this year’s Silverbird Man of the year award.
The truth is that the nominees are men and woman who have contributed a lot to the growth and development of our dear Nation. I personally have a lot of respect for the majority of them, let me prove this by publishing the names of all of them:
- Prof. Pat Utomi, Founder CVL & Founding faculty of the Lagos Business School
- Mrs. Okei-Odumakin, Human rights activist (the only woman on the list)
- Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi;
- Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola;
- Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana;
Trust me I would be excited and satisfied if any of the above personalities win but my personal choice is Prof. Pat Utomi who I believe has a great ambassador of our dear Nation and he has done so much for her. If nothing can be ascribed to him, what about Lagos Business School but particularly how he pushed for the setup of Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) and supported it with little or no support from his colleagues at LBS. Today, EDC is probably the most influential part of the Pan-Atlantic Univeristy.
So, I hereby vote for him and I urge you to do likewise. Fact is that this will not be a do or die affair for Prof. due to his nature and even though I was with him yesterday, he did not mention it or ask for any vote, so I am doing this on my volition and personal conviction.
To Vote Prof. Pat Utomi as the Silverbird Man of the Year
Kindly text SMY PAT UTOMI to 33120 before 31st of December 2013.
I would sincerely appreciate if you share this with others.
